1.inside表示“進(jìn)入到里面”，into只表示“由外向內(nèi)”這一動作；

inside有“被圍在內(nèi)”的含義，比in更強調(diào)，著重與“外面”（outside）對比；

inside還可表示“在……的內(nèi)側(cè)”，in則不能。

John came insidethe study. (進(jìn)進(jìn)入書房內(nèi)部)

2.inside通常指小的空間范圍，within多指大的空間范圍。

I know what'sinside the box.

He livedwithin a castle for two years.

3.在表示時間、距離時，inside和within均可表示“不超過”，在美語中還常用inside of。

John will leave within(/inside/inside of) an hour.

He waswithin about ten miles of his home. (離家只有十10英里)。
