explain后接什么樣的賓語(yǔ)

1. 表示“解釋”，通常不接雙賓語(yǔ)；若語(yǔ)義上需要這類結(jié)構(gòu)，可以改用 explain sth to ***結(jié)構(gòu)。如：

請(qǐng)把這條規(guī)則給我們解釋一下。

誤：Please explain us this rule.

正：Please explain this rule to us.

若其中的 sth 較長(zhǎng)或較復(fù)雜（比如是不定式或從句），也可以用explain to *** sth。如：

He explained to us why he was late. 他給我們解釋了他遲到的原因。

2. 有時(shí)后接反身代詞作賓語(yǔ)，有兩個(gè)意思。如：

(1) 表示把自己的意思表達(dá)清楚。如：

Could you explain yourself a bit more? 你能把意思說得更清楚點(diǎn)嗎?

(2) 表示對(duì)自己的行為進(jìn)行解釋。如；

Late again, Smith? I hope you can explain yourself! 又遲到了，***?我希望你能說明一下原因。
