①often放在行為動(dòng)詞之前，特殊動(dòng)詞be，情態(tài)動(dòng)詞之后

例：She is often late for work.她經(jīng)常上班遲到。

They often go to cinema together.他們經(jīng)常一起去電影院。

You must often conme to see her.你要經(jīng)常來(lái)看她。

②often放在句末用來(lái)加強(qiáng)語(yǔ)氣

例：You won't see me often.你不會(huì)經(jīng)?？吹轿业?。

He writes to me often.他常常給我寫(xiě)信。

③often放在句首時(shí)表示強(qiáng)調(diào)

例句：Often did we warn him not to do so. 我曾常常警告他不要那樣做。

④與will連用表示將來(lái)慣常的行為:

We will often help the old men next year.明年我們將經(jīng)常幫助這個(gè)老人。

They will often come here next week.下周他們打算經(jīng)常來(lái)這里。

與情態(tài)動(dòng)詞would連用，表示過(guò)去慣常的行為:

When we were childen we would often stay up all night.我們當(dāng)孩子時(shí)經(jīng)常通宵不睡。

⑤often作頻率副詞，用于一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)

例：He often watches TV in the morning.(一般現(xiàn)在時(shí))他經(jīng)常早上上看電視。

I often go to the library on Sundays.我經(jīng)常星期天去圖書(shū)館。

often后接動(dòng)詞過(guò)去式用于一般過(guò)去時(shí)

例：I often went the zoo on weekends.我過(guò)去經(jīng)常周末去動(dòng)物園。

He often went the library on weekends.他過(guò)去經(jīng)常周末去圖書(shū)館。

Jim often got up early last year.吉姆去年經(jīng)常早起床。

⑥often用于一般將來(lái)時(shí)

例：I will often go to see her next year.我明年會(huì)經(jīng)常去看她的。

We will often help the old men next year.明年我們會(huì)經(jīng)常幫助這個(gè)老人。
